How do I calculate days of stock?

Divide the stock on hand by what you sell a day. With 240 units and 180 sold in the last 30 days (6 a day), the stock lasts 40 days.

When should I place the next order?

When the days of stock left equal the supplier's lead time plus the safety stock you keep. With 40 days left, a 10-day lead time and 5 days of safety stock, order within 25 days.

What if stock is already on order?

Add it in. If it lands before the shelf runs empty, it simply adds days. If it lands after, the tool shows how many days you would have nothing to sell.

The last 30 days suit most products. Use a shorter period in a busy season or right after a price change, and count sales from every channel, not only one.
