Okount and Tally
Your books, in your accountant's Tally. Without retyping.
Okount writes the Tally entries from the bills you already make. Send them as a file, or let the Okount Connector put them into TallyPrime every night.
Pick how the books reach Tally.
A file, the way you know.
In Accounting exports, pick a month and tap Export for Tally. Every entry has a fixed ID, so importing the same month again updates it. Nothing is doubled.
Comes with Accounting & GST
Your accountant's names.
If their Tally calls it GST Sales 18% and Okount calls it Sales @18%, type their name once. The file then posts to their ledger instead of making a new one.
Names in your Tally
Every night, by itself.
The Okount Connector sits on the computer that has TallyPrime. Each night it sends new and changed entries straight into the company, and reports back what Tally took.
Send to Tally every night
Set it up once, in about ten minutes.
Okount Connector for Windows
SoonFor Windows 10 and 11, with TallyPrime. One small program, nothing else to install.
The download goes up here after its last checks on a real TallyPrime. Until then, the Tally file in the app does the same job by hand.
Turn on Tally's connection.
In TallyPrime press F12, open Advanced Configuration, and set TallyPrime is acting as to Both. Leave the port at 9000.
Put the connector on that computer.
Download it below and keep it in a folder, for example Documents\Okount.
Get a code in Okount.
In the app open Business, then Accounting exports, then Send to Tally every night. Tap Add a computer and Make a code.
Type the code on the Tally computer.
Open Command Prompt in that folder and type okount-connector pair, then the code. It works once, for 10 minutes.
Pick the shop and the company.
Back in the app, tap Send a shop here, pick the shop and the company open in Tally, and Save.
Let it run every night.
Type okount-connector install. From then on it sends each night at 9 pm, as long as the computer and TallyPrime are on.
What it sends, and what it never does.
- What goes in
- Sales invoices, returns, customer payments, purchases, returns to suppliers, supplier payments, expenses, interest on credit and journal entries. You can switch any of them off.
- Twice is safe
- Each entry has a fixed ID. Sending a month again changes what Tally has. It never adds a second copy.
- Who can do it
- The shop admin, or staff and accountants whose role allows exports to accounting software.
- What stays on the computer
- The connector keeps its own sign-in, not your password. Remove the computer in the app and it stops at once.
- Many client shops
- An accountant sees every shop that added them in one list, with each month's file and when it was sent. Download one, or all of them in one zip.
