Customer credit

A credit book that gets you paid.

Okount's digital khata keeps each customer's credit, sets limits and sends WhatsApp reminders with a pay link. Entries are never deleted.

Know who owes you, and get paid.

How it works

Three steps, the way a shop does it.

  1. Sell on credit

Pick the customer at checkout. Their limit is checked before the bill goes through.

  2. Remind without asking

Reminders go out on WhatsApp with a statement link and a way to pay.

  3. Get paid, books updated

A paid link records itself in the khata. Cash and UPI entries are one tap.

Old money and new money don't look the same.

₹2,000 owed since Tuesday and ₹2,000 owed since March are different problems. Okount sorts balances by age, so you chase the oldest first.

  • What is a digital khata?

It's the shop's credit book on your phone. Each customer has a running balance, and every sale on credit and every payment is recorded with a date.
